Our guest speaker Brian Leonard will do an OpenSolaris Overview. Brian is the original author of the OpenSolaris Workshop, so we are very excited to have him at our meeting. The second half of the meeting will be a ZFS talk. Many new enhancements have been added to ZFS recently including the addition of Dedup. Attendees who arrive before 6:00pm will be entered into a drawing after the meeting.

  • Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 Food Sale: 11:00AM - 2:00PM across from elevators in EMS lobby

Wednesday the 9th marks our first ever IEEE-CS food sale. We will be selling bratwurst, hamburgers, chips, soda, and water. Also for the first time, we will be selling vegan beer brats for vegans, vegetarians, and animal lovers alike. Stop by to help out, pick up some lunch, or both!

  • Thursday, April 23th, 2009 Spring Picnic: 10:00PM - 2:00PM outside EMS and Physics Buildings.

Our Spring Picnic will be held outside of the EMS & Physics Building, Quad 1. There will be free food, drinks, and entertainment. Food will be served from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. Entertainment will include the SunSpot being used as a remote to play Echoes, some console games (like Guitar Hero), Putt-For-A-Computer Raffle/Contest, and even a live band or DJ! if you have any questions, suggestions, or would like to help out, please contact us!
